Day 25 - A picture of your day.

Day 25 - A picture of your day.

Sort sort sort. Not the most exciting, but then again- using time wisely in an adult life can seem quite tedious most of the time.

Day 24 - A picture of something you wish you could change.

Day 24 - A picture of something you wish you could change.

The things that most people (I'm assuming at this point) wish they could change are the situations and people that they can't control. However, that's really not the best attitude (see below). On the other hand, I'd really like to learn to speak Spanish fluently.

Day 23 - A picture of your favorite book.

Day 23 - A picture of your favorite book.

This is impossible, so let's just start there. The way I decided my favorite band was to figure out how many albums I had by the same band, and how many times I'd seen different bands live in concert. So, if I use the same system for this- I guess it would be how many times I've read the book, or loaned it out for others to enjoy. I looked at what I'd bother to put down on Facebook- I'll go change that soon, and most of the books listed are non-fiction. I come back to certain books for biblical perspective or reminding myself how much God changes things- me, situations, the world. But at the end of the day, I can't lie, it's not the non-fictions that I always come back to every few years. It's.. Tolkien's world. The hobbit, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Quenta Silmarillion.

TIme Management.
It all comes down to this... no matter how much motivation or ambition you have- if you don't have discipline to back it up you end up spending the day accomplishing nothing.

Day 21 - A picture of something you wish you could forget.

I WANT TO FORGET THIS.

Day 20 - A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel.

Day 20 - A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel.

Back to Alaska- driving all over the place. My dream is to show my husband the place that stole my heart.

Day 19 - A picture of you when you were little.

Day 19 - A picture of you when you were little.

Pretty sure that's a napkin of some sort on my head.

Day 18 - A picture of your biggest insecurity.

Day 18 - A picture of your biggest insecurity.
This one took what seems like ages- hence the time span between the posts. I thought about possible answers, what my own would have been in the past, etc. Right now though- this would have to be the top of the list.

The idea of someday being a mommy. (note to readers- no I am not pregnant). But someday I will be- and someday I'll be responsible for someone beyond myself. There will be little hands, little feet- all who need my help, attention and love. My children will look to me to be a role model, and I can't simply let them see the good parts. They'll know me as well as anyone ever could besides my husband-and that's a bit strange to imagine. Trying to teach someone things I've barely understood- trying to relate to them in a world I really can't grasp these days...

Baby feetsies.
that's quite a lot to think about. I only know that someday God will give me this chance (I hope) and that He'll also give me the strength to do it.

Day 17 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.

Day 17 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.

Penicillin: life saving awesomeness.

I'm writing this on a Tuesday. Last Wednesday was the last day I went into work, unable to really talk too much, but other than that feeling fine. I was beginning to suspect that I was getting sick...
Thursday it all began... I went to the doctor, tested negative for  type A rapid Strep, was given some cough suppressants and went home.
Thursday-Sunday became days that I barely remember, coming in and out of a 102 fever. My throat was raw, I couldn't swallow, or barely breathe... miserable. I never thought I'd wish longingly for an IV to provide fluid since I could barely swallow water, much less eat anything.  I managed to munch on a few oyster crackers each day, after handfuls of Ibuprofen.
Sunday morning my husband called the doctor for the test results that had taken (way, way too much time in my opinion) and discovered I had something like "non-typical" step throat that at this point was affecting my larynx, tonsils, throat, pharynx, etc....

Sunday Jason got me the antibiotics, which slowly removed me from what I was sure, was the brink of death. The most miserable days that I can honestly remember- I never, ever thought I'd wish to be in the hospital, or wish to be completely unconscious...

I love, love, love penicillin.
